Water Infra delivers liquid storage reservoirs and lining systems in the agricultural sector, industries, municipalities, development projects and mines.

Passion goes a long way. When coupled with an identified need in an industry, that passion can carry a life-long testament towards success.

To this end, during the early 1960s, Mr. Salie Erichsen saw such a need that could be filled. He saw the lack of a simple yet cost-effective way in which water reservoirs can be constructed. This led to the registration of a patent for an ingenious method of doing just this. His idea of using pre-cast structural concrete panels to aid with the construction of reservoirs, Water Infra was born.

During the 60s, Mr. Erichsen largely used an unskilled labour workforce to help build reservoirs predominantly for the farming community. In 1964, the company was started as mainly a family business.

Today, now in its third generation, and still proudly family-owned, we have built upon what Mr. Erichsen started 50 years ago. We have made our footprint in the reservoir construction industry known, and we’ve prepared ourselves to move boldly into the future with improvements to our flagship product, the Erichsen Reservoir, as well as expanding our impressive water storage product list to include Circa-Flow products, Zink-Al reservoirs, a lining system to help fix existing, troublesome reservoirs, as well linings for earth dams, too.
