The trade name, Erdvark, has been in existence for about 67 years. The Marais family noticed that in areas where the erdvark (the Afrikaans word for anteater) dug holes, the grain grew much better. They, therefore, developed a plough that worked deeper than existing ploughs and started the factory in Moorreesburg, situated in the Western Cape Province. Around 1990, the factory was sold to the Rossouw brothers and was moved to the Trawal area.

In the beginning, the factory concentrated on moldboard ploughs, but through the years the series was enlarged. Today the company manufactures a range of disc ploughs, graders and other agricultural implements. All products are thoroughly tested at the factory. In addition to being sold in the South African market, Erdvark implements are exported to other African countries such as Angola, Botswana, the DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Erdvark’s products are manufactured specifically for African conditions and require minimum maintenance. Maintenance can be done easily on the farm with affordable parts. Over the years Erdvark has established good relations with a dealer network throughout South Africa and neighbouring states.

Erdvark manufactures robust implements that allow the farmer to do his work without spending too much time on repairs.

Erdvark Bush Rake

The Erdvark Bush Rake model TKRT with the floatation forestry tyres are a lot more stable and require less kW. The Bush Rake is capable to rake bush, brush, logs, smaller rocks and any debris that is leftover material after new production land is built. The unit can rake 6 m wide and leave a clean and level area behind with all debris in a window.

Erdvark Hydraulic Reset Ripper Trailed & 3 Point.

The Erdvark Hydraulic Reset Ripper Trailed & 3 Point models is a deep ripping implement that can work up to the depth off 1050mm depending on soil conditions. Each ripper tine is fitted with a hydraulic reset system with a 20kN to 40kN brake away force. The shank can be fitted with a wing set that can give a better soil shatter and aeration.

Erdvark Reversible Disc Plough RDP

The Erdvark Reversible Disc Plough is a new generation disc plough. This unit is capable of ploughing 250mm to 700mm deep. Vertical disc adjustments of 14°, 18° and 22° with break bolt protection. Adjustable cutting width from 280mm and 380mm and is adjustable for tractor widths from 2.0m and 2.6m. The Erdvark bearing hubs require no daily lubrication. It is lubricated with a special lubricant at the factory and sealed. A land wheel is available on the 4, 5 and 6 disc.

Erdvark Leveling Grader / Scraper / Planer TBP7000

Erdvark is running currently at a fast pace with new developments in this field. This 7m Leveling Grader/Scraper/Planer is a masterpiece of Engineering. This PATENTED Grader / Scraper / Planer is totally unique with its folding mechanism. This unit can fold up from just over 7m to 2.6m wide and 11.2m long to just 6.8m.
