Biosecurity Special Session (30 June): 15-minute presentations dealing with any approaches for preventing, controlling or eradicating infectious diseases, particularly those involving disease surveillance, diagnostics, economic or other impacts, certifying disease freedom, and OIE standards or National regulations.

Biosecurity Workshop (1-2 July): Open to 100 attendees to participate in facilitated table-top and on-farm training exercises for preventing, controlling or eradicating infectious diseases, using OIE standards. Lunch, workbook and transportation is included.

Agri Mega Week


The Agri Mega Week is not just an agricultural show or just an expo – it is much more, it has a unique character. It is in this uniqueness that lies the secret of success. It provides much more than is expected. Originally birthed over 10 years ago on a sowing field just outside of Bredasdorp in the South Western Cape, today the expo see more than 15000 visitors attend each year, with an average of 30 000 square metres of ground being used by more than 300 participants for exhibits and demonstrations of which approximately 11000 square metres is indoors. There is always a large variety of food stalls, restaurants and steakhouses at the expo which enjoys national media coverage and exposure. Agri Mega Week is a community driven project and an important injection for a number of local, non-profit organizations and is one of the largest annual agricultural expos in South Africa.
